Duration: 12 Months + (Possible Extension)
Pay Rate: $30.49/hr on W2
Location: Clark, NJ 07066
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote

Role Summary

We are seeking a Content Communications Specialist to support communications and engagement initiatives for a leading organization’s Operations team across North America.

Reporting to the AVP of Communications and Engagement, this role will contribute to executive communications, employee engagement, content creation, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate is a creative, entrepreneurial self-starter with a social-first mindset who can turn communications briefs into engaging and memorable content. This person should thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently manage multiple projects, and bring both strategic thinking and hands-on creativity to communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Engagement & Internal Communications

  • Support the planning, development, and execution of Town Halls and all-hands meetings for employees across North America.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and celebration initiatives, including recognition programs and events.
  • Help develop and implement internal communications plans that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with business strategy and priorities.
  • Create compelling content for internal channels, including newsletters, intranet, digital signage, and video.
  • Develop content highlighting operational excellence, safety achievements, sustainability milestones, and employee stories.

Reputation Building & Storytelling

  • Bring a social-first and creative mindset to communications by identifying compelling human stories, unique perspectives, and visually engaging moments.
  • Partner with communications leadership to develop proactive internal and external content highlighting innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, and employee expertise.
  • Bring stories to life through social content, short-form video, photography, case studies, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Support collaboration with media relations and brand communications teams to identify earned media opportunities, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Develop creative concepts and ideas that strengthen the organization's internal and external reputation.

Strategic Communications Planning & Project Management

  • Manage and track multiple communications projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and consistent quality.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and measurement of communications plans, processes, and programs.
  • Identify new communication opportunities, emerging channels, and creative approaches to enhance organizational storytelling.
  • Partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts on initiatives involving sustainability, industry transformation, safety, and community engagement.
  • Translate complex topics into clear, accessible, and engaging communications.
  • Serve as a creative thought partner to leadership by bringing fresh ideas, formats, and perspectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in communications, corporate affairs, marketing, or operations.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, creative, and engaging content.
  • Experience creating content across multiple formats and channels, from leadership presentations to social media content.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms with a social-first, creative mindset.
  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting event planning and execution, particularly employee-facing programs or large-scale internal events, is preferred.
